What it means to be a strategic thinker? It means to see the system. Systems serve a valuable function until they don't, because then the system starts doing things to support itself, to reinforce itself.
Systems thinking reveals hidden leverage
Craft → Analytical Sense
I'm a big fan of finding leverage. I think doing growth is always about finding leverage. If you can always find the area that with relatively small investment can give you the biggest results, that can be such a kind of momentum, can empower you through future experiments and more work.
It is really, really powerful to spend the time to create the model that describes the whole thing so you can identify what are the high leverage points to focus on.
The more painful the process of building it is, probably the more you're learning.
Instead of focusing on the symptoms of speaking, I started to try and figure out what are the root causes that create these symptoms, and can I address those?
